Class 5 grades, explained

Class 5 opened in Torrance in 2024 and reuses the name of Touchstone's second gym, in San Rafael, which closed in 2008. It has about 26,000 sq ft of climbing terrain (17,000 sq ft roped, 9,000 sq ft bouldering) with a 40-foot lead wall, a 10 m speed wall, a weight room and yoga and fitness classes.

Bouldering grades

Each boulder problem is set in one hold colour and has a start tag with a single suggested V-grade. Touchstone uses this at every gym except Hyperion.
