Camp5 KL Eco City grades, explained
Camp5 KL Eco City is an indoor climbing gym on the 4th floor of KL Eco City Mall, No 3 Jalan Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. It opened in 2019 and is the largest outlet of the Camp5 chain, which has run gyms in Malaysia since 2005. Camp5 lists almost 1,000 m² of bouldering plus 33 top ropes, auto-belays, two lead lanes, a kids area, a fitness studio and Tension and Moon training boards.
Bouldering grades
Each boulder is tagged with one of eight colours. Each colour covers a band of about three V-grades, and neighbouring colours overlap, as drawn on Camp5's 'Boulder Grades' chart. The exact grade of each climb is listed on TheRouteList (QR code on the wall).

Rope climbing grades
Top-rope and lead routes use the same eight colour tags, each covering a band of French sport grades with overlaps, per Camp5's 'Rope Grades' chart. Camp5 says it uses the French system for roped routes.
