Camp5 Jumpa grades, explained
On the 3rd floor of Jumpa Mall in Sungei Wang Plaza, Bukit Bintang, in central Kuala Lumpur; it opened in December 2019. It has 15 m lead walls, 9-11 m top-rope walls and bouldering (about 1,000 m² of wall, 250 m² of it bouldering), and shares the space with Beastpark, an activity park with an E-Wall and a ninja course.
Bouldering grades
Each boulder is tagged with one of eight colours. Each colour covers a band of about three V-grades, and neighbouring colours overlap, as drawn on Camp5's 'Boulder Grades' chart. The exact grade of each climb is listed on TheRouteList (QR code on the wall).
| Level | V-scale | ≈ Font |
|---|---|---|
| Pink | VB–V1 | 3–5B |
| Blue (light blue) | V0–V2 | 4B–5C |
| Yellow | V1–V3 | 5A–6A+ |

| Red | V5–V7 | 6C–7B |
| BlackThe chart's top label is V8+, so Black runs on from there. | V6–V8 | 6C+–7B+ |
Rope climbing grades
Top-rope and lead routes use the same eight colour tags, each covering a band of French sport grades with overlaps, per Camp5's 'Rope Grades' chart. Camp5 says it uses the French system for roped routes.
| Level | French | ≈ YDS |
