BUMP Bouldering Pavilion Bukit Jalil grades, explained

BUMP's second gym, opened in 2023 on level 5 of the Pavilion Bukit Jalil mall (Orange Zone, opposite TGV Cinemas). It has a freestanding Kilter Board adjustable from 20° to 70°, carpeted mats, a fitness area focused on balance and stability, lockers, showers and a pro shop.

Bouldering grades

BUMP grades with dots instead of V-grades: 13 grades from 1 dot (easiest) to 12 dots, plus an 'Alien' grade for the hardest problems. The gym publishes no V conversion, so the ranges below are an estimate made by spreading the 13 grades over a typical VB to V10+ range. The gym's own class pages use dots as levels (e.g. 'Climbing 2-3 Dots', '5 dots or higher').
