Boulder Co. Auckland grades, explained
Boulder Co. runs bouldering gyms in Auckland, Hamilton and Christchurch. The Auckland gym in Westgate has over 1,000 m² of climbable wall and bills itself as the southern hemisphere's largest bouldering gym. It also has 25° and 40° MoonBoards, a 45° training wall and a full fitness gym.
Bouldering grades
Every climb carries a number from 1 (easiest) to 8, and each number covers a range of difficulty. Boulder Co.'s grade chart maps the numbers onto V-grades (below) and Font grades (in the notes). A '?' tag marks a mystery grade that can be anything. The chart says grades are indicative only.
