ROCKY Climbing & Fitness Gym Shinjuku Akebonobashi grades, explained

ROCKY Shinjuku Akebonobashi is a basement gym in Ichigaya-Daimachi, Shinjuku, 5 minutes from exit A2 of Akebonobashi Station (Toei Shinjuku Line); Wakamatsu-Kawada and Yotsuya-Sanchome are 10–11 minutes away. It opened on 3 March 2018 with walls of many angles joined into one another, and has no parking of its own.
Bouldering grades
Problems are marked with coloured tape, one colour per Japanese kyu/dan grade, from yellow (10–9級) to black (3段 and up). The colour key below is from a climber's 2017 blog; the gym does not publish it online. Font equivalents use the kyu/Font table on Japanese Wikipedia, not the gym's own conversion.
