Climbing gym · Évry, France
Block'Out Evry grades, explained
The chain's third gym, opened in August 2014 in a business park in Lisses, next to Évry. It has 1,350 m² with 750 m² of climbing surface: about 175 boulders on 35 wall profiles, reset every three to four weeks, and a Kilter Board. Buses 415 and 416 stop at Dauphiné, a minute away; RER D Évry-Courcouronnes is about 25 minutes on foot, and parking is free.
Bouldering grades
Block'Out uses its own numbered scale, B1 (easiest) to B14, instead of grading by hold colour. Block'Out does not publish Font equivalents. Third-party sources agree that, above about 5C, each B step is roughly one Font step, but they differ on where the scale starts. The levels below follow Kaskad Coaching's table (2026); each level's note gives an older forum mapping (2016).
