Sputnik Climbing Asturias (Lugones) grades, explained
Sputnik Asturias in Lugones (Siero), 5 km from central Oviedo, opened in September 2026 as Sputnik's seventh centre and the first it built from scratch. The 2,400 m² building has more than 100 routes up to 20 m with 40 auto belays (some outdoors), over 80 boulders on two floors, a Quantum Board XL, a kids' zone with a slide, a 100 m² fitness area, a 200 m² canteen and 60 parking spaces.
Bouldering grades
Difficulty is shown by coloured tags on the start holds, not by the hold colour. Sputnik's magazine lists the tag order as white, green, yellow, blue, purple, red and black. The grade range for each colour comes from two third-party guides, iwannaclimb and Planomato, which agree. We read their grades as Font.

Rope climbing grades
Routes are graded on the French scale: V, V+, 6a, 6a+, 6b and up. Sputnik writes grade 5 as the Roman numeral V.
