Klättercentret Malmö grades, explained
Opened on 15 October 2016 at Kopparbergsgatan 8. Klättercentret calls it Sweden's largest bouldering hall, with over 1,200 m² of climbing and around 200 boulders, with about 20 new ones added twice a week. It also has a 6.6 m rope wall used mostly for courses, a gym and a sauna.
Bouldering grades
Every boulder has a card at the start hold showing its grade on the French (Fontainebleau) boulder scale, from 3 up to 9A: 3, 3+, 4, 4+, 5, 5+, 6A, 6A+ and so on. The card also shows where each hand starts, and a 'top' card marks the finishing hold.
