boulder+ Chevrons grades, explained
boulder+ is a Singapore bouldering gym brand with two locations, at Aperia Mall in Kallang and at The Chevrons (48 Boon Lay Way, #04-01) in the west, near Jurong East MRT. The Chevrons gym covers about 22,000 sq ft, with a 70° roof, a large competition wall, a Kilter board, a training corner and a café.
Bouldering grades
Problems are graded by colour, from white (easiest) to black, plus wildcard problems. A Singapore climber's blog maps each colour to one V-grade, with black at about V8. The gym's website does not publish its colour key.
