Boulder Planet grades, explained
Boulder Planet is a Singapore bouldering brand co-founded by Ben Toh and Daniel Lim, with two gyms: Sembawang Shopping Centre in the north and Grantral Mall in Tai Seng. It grades problems on its own 1-12 scale, meant to give smaller steps than V-grades, plus ungraded 'wildcard' problems, and runs a no-single-use-plastic policy. First-timers start with a booked Starter Pack class; after that, entry is walk-in at either gym.
Bouldering grades
Boulder Planet grades problems from 1 to 12, plus ungraded 'wildcard' problems. It says the 12-step scale bridges the gaps between V-grades for more gradual progression. Competition-wall problems are graded by competition category (Novice, Intermediate, Open). V-equivalents below come from one climber's blog, not from the gym.
