Balance Climbing Rama 9 grades, explained

Balance Climbing runs two bouldering-only gyms in Bangkok: Balance Climbing at The Shoppes at Belle on Rama 9 Road, and Balance Prime in the Sathorn Prime Building. Routes are reset twice a week across both gyms, and the Rama 9 gym has a campus board and training zone. The gyms host 'Bangkok Clutch', a climbing competition held across both locations (7-8 November 2026).

Bouldering grades

Balance grades problems on its own Level 0-8 scale and stresses it is not a direct translation of the V-scale. The V ranges below are an estimate made by spreading the nine levels evenly over a typical gym range (about VB to V10); the gym publishes only the level order. Its coaching splits beginners (Level 0-4) from advanced climbers (Level 5+).
