Arkose Cholet grades, explained
An 'Arkose XP Climbing' space inside the Impact Stadium Cholet, a 4,000 m² complex that also has padel, badminton and yoga. The page lists 670 m² of climbing surface, more than 100 boulders, a kids' area, a shop and a bar-restaurant. Arkose's October 2026 events page gives the opening date as 19 October 2026.
Bouldering grades
Arkose grades boulders with colours. Its own guide lists six levels from Yellow (introduction) to Violet (expert); a third-party table also places White below Yellow. Arkose does not publish Font equivalents, so the grades below come from a third-party conversion table.
| Level | Font | ≈ V-scale |
|---|---|---|
| WhiteOnly in the third-party table; Arkose's own guide starts at Yellow | 3 | VB+ |
| Yellow | 4–4+ | V0−–V0+ |
| Green5C is listed as a Green/Blue overlap | 5A–5B | V1–V2 |
| Blue6A+ is listed as a Blue/Red overlap | 6A | V3 |
| Red6C is listed as a Red/Black overlap | 6B–6B+ | V4 |
| Black7A+ is listed as a Black/Violet overlap | 6C+–7A | V5–V6 |
| Violet | 7B–7C | V7–V9 |
Arkose's gyms appear to share this grading, though Arkose doesn't say so outright. All Arkose gyms and grades
