Kinetics Climbing grades, explained

Kinetics Climbing is a bouldering gym at 511 Serangoon Road, near Farrer Park MRT station in central Singapore. It opened in February 2011, making it one of the city's longest-running bouldering gyms. Its manager, head route setter and coach is Jay Koh, a former national team climber who has bouldered up to 8B (V13).

Bouldering grades

Problems are graded directly in V-grades. Each problem's start holds are marked with a V-shaped tape showing the grade and the setter's initials, from V0 up to V9 and harder. The tags are described in a Hype & Stuff review.
